Position SummaryCell Therapy is one of the most exciting and groundbreaking new forms of cancer treatments being studied today. The potential of this science combined with continued investment by Bristol Myers Squibb creates the need for ongoing growth of infrastructure and capabilities. The Strategy & Business Operations (SBO) team at the Bothell cell therapy manufacturing facility supports the identification, planning, and execution of critical strategic and operational changes at the site. Implementation of these changes expands and improves manufacturing operations in support of our patients.As a member of the SBO team, this position will be responsible for formulating and sustaining Bothell site strategy while also influencing cross-functional execution in alignment with the strategy. The Associate Director of Strategy will guide and support development of the annual site goals and objectives, master site capabilities plan, key program and investment business cases, and workforce planning for the Bothell site. This position collaborates on these efforts with site leaders and global stakeholders across strategy and business operations, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, information technology, facilities, manufacturing science & technology, and other functional areas. The role contributes to the success of the site by applying an organized and efficient approach to planning and driving the strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Bothell site leaders and network stakeholders and drive conversations to align on the strategic vision for the site facility and capabilitiesLead the development and sustainment of the Bothell long term and annual site objectivesWork closely with functional site leaders to develop long range site roadmaps and implementation strategiesProvide program management support for planning and implementation of key strategic initiativesAnalyze network and industry trends to gain understanding which can be used to influence for competitive advantageSupport the development of business cases for different investments opportunities and programs, combining knowledge of value stream opportunities and return on investmentDevelop and sustain the Bothell capabilities plan in conjunction with greater Bothell campus master planClearly and efficiently communicate the status of the Bothell goals and objectives to site and network stakeholders through all site staff meetings and site business reviewsOwn the Bothell Business Continuity Plan and ensures it remains current and sufficiently mitigates the evolving risk profileAdditional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesQualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in engineering, science, information technology, business, or related fieldAt least 9 years of relevant work experience including 2 years of experience in a manufacturing operations environment, preferably in life sciencesAdvanced knowledge of financial, operational, and business management principlesExperience working in biopharma, cell therapy, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), FDA regulated, or other regulated environments is a plusHighly proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Proficient in SharePoint, MS Project, and Visio. Knowledge of Hoshin Kanri and strategic portfolio management is preferred.Demonstrated ability to communicate the value of complex solutions in a way that is easily understood and engaging to diverse audiencesSuccessful performance in a matrixed environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while consistently delivering high quality results.Proactive, detail oriented, flexible, and able to multi-task. Able to prioritize across competing demandsBuilds positive professional relationships and actively fosters a collaborative and engaged team culture.Ability to travel, up to 10%, on averageThe starting compensation for this job is a range from $179,150 to $217,100, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility). The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
