Hydrogeologist Or Environmental Engineer
Nesco Resource is seeking a qualified and motivated
Hydrogeologist or Environmental Engineer
to support environmental and groundwater projects. This will be a key hire for a new business unit of a well-established engineering firm in Midland. This role involves groundwater modeling, aquifer testing, field investigations, and regulatory compliance assessments for a variety of clients. The ideal candidate will have strong technical capabilities, field experience, and a solid understanding of groundwater hydrology and environmental regulations. Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree
in Hydrogeology, Geology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Geotechnical Engineering (required) Technical Skills & Knowledge Proficiency in groundwater flow and contaminant transport modeling tools (e.g., MODFLOW, MT3DMS) Knowledge of soil and rock characterization (permeability, porosity, transmissivity) Aquifer test design and analysis (pumping tests, slug tests) Groundwater sampling protocols and monitoring well design GIS and mapping
software experience Working knowledge of environmental regulations (EPA and state-level) Certifications & Licensure Professional Engineer (PE)
or
Professional Geologist (PG)
License (preferred; required in certain jurisdictions) PE: Requires ABET-accredited degree, FE & PE exams, and 4 years of experience PG: Requires geology degree, ASBOG exams, and state-specific experience Certified Hydrogeologist
designation (optional but advantageous) Recognized by AIH, NGWA, or equivalent organizations Experience Requirements Field experience installing and testing wells Groundwater sample collection and analysis Preparation of: Groundwater impact assessments Site remediation plans Water resource evaluations Regulatory Knowledge Familiarity with: NEPA
