Housekeeping Position
Essential Responsibilities: 1. Ensure cleanliness of our Members apartments and the Community so they can live a worry-free lifestyle 2. Share in making our community a beautiful place for Members to live 3. Clean members apartments, patios/balconies, and common areas 4. Serve a senior population and ensure 5 Star quality standards of cleanliness and attention to detail for each member you serve Job Description Following cleaning guidelines and proper product usage as trained whether for regular weekly cleaning or deep cleaning of apartments/common spaces Clean assigned common spaces as detailed on cleaning assignment daily Clean apartments using the Standard Weekly/Annual Service listing Empty trash containers in resident kitchen and bathroom(s) and replace liners Dust and mop and/or vacuum all unit floors including bathroom Clean bathrooms: floors, countertops, commodes, lavatories, showers, and mirrors in bathrooms Change bed linen and make bed Clean living room: floors, dust visible furniture Clean kitchen: visible countertops, sinks, inside microwave, floors Clean blinds, windows, baseboards, and ceiling fans as scheduled Wear gloves to clean bathrooms and kitchens and wash hands after each unit Use clean microfiber mop head and microfiber towels for each unit Dust, mop, and vacuum lobby and include cleaning countertops and furniture in office and common spaces as assigned Follow guidelines for emptying trash and removing trash Stock soap and paper products in common areas as needed Clean Housekeeping cart, empty vacuum prior to putting in storage area Placed soiled mop heads and cleaning cloths in plastic bag and take to laundry at end of shift Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Required: High School Graduate Must work every other weekend with rest days off during the week as applicable Attend all mandatory housekeeping department meetings as well as required Community Inservices Must be able to write and read with clarity sufficient to follow instructions Must follow cleaning schedules, policies, and procedures as outlined in the Housekeeping policy and procedures Manual Must use PPE and chemicals in a safe manner as described in SDS Must be kind and respectful to Members, personnel, visitors, and supervisor Must demonstrate neat appearance and good personal hygiene Must wear appropriate uniform and a nametag Family Makes Us Stronger.
