Machine Operator
The Machine Operator is responsible to assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts by operating mechanical equipment. Essential Duties And Responsibilities: Performs typical machine shop and press operations. Must be able to perform, but not limited to, the following tasks: read blueprints, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment. Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows all safety regulations. Education And Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required. Any equivalent combination of education and experience determined to be acceptable by management. Essential Skills And Knowledge: Ability to follow directions Adaptability Arm-Hand Steadiness Attention to detail Cooperation Control Precision Customer Service Dependability Handling and Moving Objects Interpersonal skills to interact with all team members. Manual Dexterity Monitoring Operation and Control Problem Sensitivity Time Management. Verbal and Written Communication skills Physical Demands And Work Environment: Works primarily in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment with regular exposure to dust, odors, oil, and fumes with moderate noise. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about the facility. Sedentary, sitting, walking, occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from the floor, bending, and reaching PPE required may include safety glasses and gloves in designated areas of the facility.
