Part-Time Alcohol Educator
Penn State New Kensington is seeking a Part-Time Alcohol Educator. The Part-Time Educator will interact with the student population at Penn State New Kensington to raise awareness for underage and high-risk drinking. Awareness will be raised through targeted programming, tabling, and outreach. The part-time educator will also create follow up assessments to gather feedback on certain programs. The hired individual will work 15 hours per week during the academic year (August-May). The bulk of the hours worked will occur during normal working hours, but flexibility in hours is a plus due to the nature of the campus and some evening programming may occur. This is a grant funded position with funding for two years for 2025-2026. Job Duties: Budgeting Managing student volunteers Managing table awareness campaigns Classroom presentations on alcohol awareness Collaborating with departments Monthly Alcohol Education Programs Working with vendors Requirements and qualifications: Creative Comfortable speaking to groups or crowds Willing to share ideas and collaborate Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies. Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree with a focus in health & wellness education, social work, public health, education, or other related fields.
