The IT Services of the Applied Research Laboratory is seeking undergraduate students to work across a variety of information technology disciplines including, but not limited to: computing support, networking, systems administration, helpdesk support, and cybersecurity. ARL is an authorized DoD SkillBridge partner and welcomes all transitioning military members to apply. Responsibilities include: End-user support - Answering phones/emails Technical writing Assisting with installation, configuration, testing, maintenance, and support of computing and network hardware and software Assisting in the development of process and equipment documentation; assisting with equipment inventory and auditing Assisting with cybersecurity initiatives Assisting with programming and software development tasks and other duties as assigned Students studying Information Science and Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering are encouraged to apply. Required skills and experience include: Excellent communication, customer service, technical writing, and organizational skills Preferred skills and experience include: Configuration, installation, and support of network equipment as well as programming Microsoft Windows systems in a domain environment, iOS, and Linux The successful candidate will work up to 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters and 40 hours per week over the summer. Candidate selected may be subject to a government security investigation. You must be a U.S. citizen to apply.
