The Department of Dermatology at the University of Virginia is seeking candidates for a part-time, tenure-ineligible Assistant or Associate Professor of Dermatology to primarily work in our outpatient clinics. A commitment to teaching, clinical excellence and academic scholarship is essential. Duties include teaching of residents and medical students, direct patient care, participation in scholarly activities. The University of Virginia Department of Dermatology, founded in 1924, is the oldest dermatology department in the South. Its mission is to enrich the quality of human life by improving health, to produce excellent and compassionate care for our patients, to advance the field of dermatology, to seek medical and scientific knowledge, and to create an environment for professional preparation of individuals dedicated to health care service in the field of Dermatology. Qualified candidates must have an MD and be ABMS board-certified or board-eligible in dermatology. Candidates dually board certified or board eligible in dermatopathology also encouraged to apply. Potentially one day a week performing dermatopathology available. Must be eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
