HDR Engineering Transmission Line EIT/Coordinator
HDR Engineering is looking for a Transmission Line EIT/Coordinator to join our growing and nationally ranked team of Power Delivery professionals in Kansas City or Saint Louis, Missouri. The primary duties of a Transmission Line EIT include in partnership with the Project Manager (PM) responsibility for technical execution of high voltage electrical transmission line projects of any size and complexity on schedule, within budget, and meeting HDR and client quality standards. An EIT is responsible for leading a project team to perform the technical execution of a project. Experience with overhead transmission line design and construction from 69kV thru 500kV preferred. Specific duties include: Model and analysis of transmission structures for required clearances and required structural loading. Determination of any hardware that is required to safely operate the transmission line. Preparation of structure loadings in accordance with applicable industry and client standards and requirements. Preparation of transmission line foundation designs, calculations, and drawings. Leads overall technical direction of projects and provides guidance and oversight to a technical team of engineers, designers, CADD technicians, and project support staff. Scope and schedule support to the PM, including work breakdown structure development and implementation, change management, and schedule management. Budget support to the PM for proposal development, progress assessment, and change management. Must thoroughly understand and implement the HDR Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements, processes, and procedures to deliver a world-class quality product to the client. Supports scheduling for and/or performs quality reviews for all deliverables. Ensures appropriate reviewer(s) are assigned. Coordinates with operations leaders and PM for resource planning and management. Works independently and may direct, mentor, train, and/or supervise one or more EIT's, CADD/Designers, and administrative staff. Independently coordinates the work of engineers and the balance of the team throughout an entire project life cycle. Participates in project reviews as needed. Preferred Qualifications Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression. 3 years Transmission Line design EPC project experience a plus Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering Computer skills in Microsoft Office An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture HDR is our company.
