Jacobs' Nuclear Programs and Consulting is a Tier 1 service provider to the U.S. Department of Energy, delivering safe and innovative solutions at complex nuclear cleanup and production sites. We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Seismic Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide advanced technical expertise in the field of seismic engineering, hazard analysis, and risk mitigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering with proven experience in seismic modeling, data interpretation, and consulting. Responsibilities:

Serve as the technical expert on seismic issues, providing guidance and recommendations to multidisciplinary teams Perform complex analysis for concrete, steel, and masonry structures Coordinate, originate, and review drawings, calculations, and specifications for design projects Qualifications:

B.S. or M.S. in Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering school 15 or more years of experience Experience in the analysis and design of structures including seismic design Demonstrated experience with DOE 1020, ASCE 43, and ASCE 4 Experience with management of scope, schedule, and budget of individual projects Ability to follow established quality procedures and ensures that all work accomplished under their control is accomplished under established quality procedures Experience working within a quality system based on ISO 9000 or NQA-1 Competency using discipline specific technical software such as: STADD, Tekla, RISA, AutoCAD, Microstation, etc Competent using Microsoft Office software US citizen required Engineering Registration (PE) required Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree is a plus Expert in Soil Structure Interaction analysis DOE Q clearance is preferred but not required A person residing a commutable distance from our Oak Ridge, TN office DOE experience is desirable but not required Essential Requirements:

Physical Requirements: Work will vary from sedentary office tasks to in-field site work. May transport light items, such as reports, data products, notebooks and laptops. Work Environment:

Office environment within Facility construction trailers. May be in a restricted work area. Criticality of Attendance:

Must be able to work within the normal daytime shift in the office on-site. Except for Short Term Disability/Long Term Disability/FMLA & approved time off, attendance is considered essential. Equipment and Machines:

Standard office equipment and machines: personal computer, scanner, copy machine, telephone, printer, fax machine, and other office equipment including desk supplies. Personal computer and required CAD software. Other Essential Functions:

Must be able to secure and maintain a security clearance Must take and pass a pre-employment drug and background check. Must be able to read and write effectively in English.
