About the team + role
Brokerage products are the bread and butter of Robinhood. The Brokerage team is fast-paced, dynamic, and deeply collaborative, driving innovation across our suite of brokerage products.
As a Staff Data Scientist on the Brokerage Data Science team, you'll be part of a high-impact, cross-functional group working closely with partners across product, engineering, user research, design, marketing, finance, and operations. Together, you'll unlock the power of data to shape the future of our brokerage business and deliver exceptional value to our customers.
We're looking for a dedicated and ambitious data science leader to help us accelerate product growth through world-class experimentation, analysis, and data-informed strategy. Your work will directly influence the roadmap, uncover new opportunities, and improve the trading experience for millions of users.
This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you'll do Perform deep-dive analyses to identify product growth opportunities and drive improvements in core business metrics. Design, plan, implement, and analyze A/B experiments, and conduct causal inference analysis to evaluate product changes. Define and maintain key product performance metrics; build scalable dashboards to monitor these metrics and inform decision-making. Create compelling data visualizations and narratives to effectively communicate insights and recommendations to cross-functional partners, stakeholders, and senior leadership. Lead and implement large-scale analytics projects to uncover user insights, inform product strategy, and deliver measurable business impact. Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven decision-making into product and business processes. Mentor other data scientists, contribute to standard methodologies, and help foster a data-informed culture across the organization. What you bring Graduate degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in product data science within a fast-paced, high-tech environment. Proven track record of initiating and executing large, complex deep-dive analyses that uncover insights and drive business impact. Strong product sense and ownership, with experience influencing cross-functional partners and shaping the product roadmap through data-driven insights. Strong data wrangling skills to produce analytics insights by exploring large scale data sets using SQL, python or Spark. Solid understanding of statistics. Practical experience in AB testing and causal inference. Bonus points:
Experience in the finance industry, such as with a broker-dealer, market maker, or investment manager, with a strong passion for trading, investing, and financial markets, or deep knowledge of quantitative finance modeling.
