Acme Truck Line is a leading asset-based transportation and logistics company based in Gretna, LA. Acme primarily serves the Gulf Coast energy industry with a fleet of 1,200+ trucks, 60+ field offices, and 150+ company employees.
The IT Program Manager will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for executing, overseeing, and managing the company's information technology projects and programs. They will work with a staff of 2 employees and 2 contractors to develop IT goals and meet team objectives.
The IT Program Manager will:
- Oversee existing projects to hit scope, budget, and timeline requirements while clearly communicating statuses, risks and issues
- Define goals, objectives and scopes for new initiatives, collaborating with internal stakeholders to qualify their problems and needs
- Maintain relationships with external service partners to ensure consistent delivery, and renegotiate contracts when necessary
- Regularly review the company's risk maturity level and suggest improvements to achieve security and uptime goals
- Champion smaller projects but delegate when needed
- Support main office with standard desktop, routing & switching, LAN/WAN expertise
- Assist in executing project tasks if internal or external resources are not available
Requirements
Background Required:
•Corporate IT Support Experience (6+ years)
•Progressive responsibility in managing & directing IT operations
•Strong understanding of WAN/LAN & Cloud infrastructure
•Experience with M365, AD/Entra, and remote endpoint management tools
•Ability to translate technical language into summaries and actions for executives and end users
•Experience managing project budgets and vendor contracts
Background Preferred:
•Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (e.g. McLeod Software)
•Experience with automation or reporting tools (e.g. PowerBI)
•Reside in Metro New Orleans Area
