About the Job

We currently have an exciting opportunity for Software Engineering Manager to join our Store Systems team. This individual will be responsible for building out a new product engineering team that will work on creating the next generation of applications and micro-services that will support our rental business. What You'll Do | Key Accountabilities

Build and manage a new product development team of 3-5 engineers utilizing the latest technologies to support our rental business unit Hire, lead, and mentor an innovative team of software development engineers

growing people as you grow our business and technology Architect and build multiple micro-services that cohesively support a larger piece of functionality Interface with key business stakeholders to deliver the correct solutions that will meet their current and future needs Own the ins and outs of a system that is built from the ground up and ensure the quality of our products and the business continuity of our systems Foster a culture of continuous engineering improvement through mentoring, feedback, and metrics Partner with passionate Product, QA, and Architect counterparts to deliver greatness and continuously evaluate the best way to deliver short-term and long-term solutions Foster a positive, supportive, and a lively work environment while providing opportunity for team members to tackle new roles and take on new responsibilities Skills & Experience

Experience leading a product development team either in a Team Lead or Manager role Experience in a high-level programming language like Java or Python Experience with SaaS applications and cloud deployments Extensive experience with automated build and deployment tools Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands

Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach on a daily basis Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, from the Houston Corporate Office or a remote office location COVID-19 Vaccine Policy
