Senior Resource Geologist Opportunity

This position requires an individual with broad mineral exploration and resource evaluation experience and proven technical competencies to support our industrial and mining sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing resource exploration and modeling solutions that will complement and support our team responsible for resource-reserve estimation, mining engineering, hydrogeology, mine planning, mineral processing, and financial analysis. We are looking for someone to participate in multi-disciplinary team projects, who can lead projects in your area of expertise, and is willing to assist with business development of existing and new clients. Key Responsibilities: Build geologic models using software programs such as Leapfrog, MinePlan, Carlson, Vulcan, or similar packages. Analyze and interpret data using database and GIS programs such as Microsoft Access, Excel, Power BI, ArcGIS or similar packages. Author independent technical reports as Qualified Person (QP) (NI43-101, S-K1300) or Competent Person (CP) (JORC). Manage, plan and implement mineral exploration and resource estimation programs. Assist in developing work with new and existing clients. Your Capabilities and Credentials: Diverse background in exploration and mining projects, past career focus in field exploration, database management, geologic modeling, and resource estimation. Strong technical writing and communication skills. Attention to detail and strong QA/QC skills. Knowledge of the independent reporting requirements under NI43-101, JORC and S-K1300. Registered with a professional organization to be recognized as a QP or CP. Understanding of project related risks. Exceptional organizational, technical, leadership, and communication skills. Willingness to work and travel to remote locations for short periods (e.g. two weeks). Ability to develop a strong network in the local and national marketplace. Education and Experience: Minimum of a B.S. in Geology with preference given to an M.S. degree. Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience. Diverse background in exploration and mining projects, past career focus in field exploration, database management, geologic modeling, and resource estimation.
