In conjunction with Sector/Senior Plant Leadership, responsible for defining and executing the Howmet IS Strategies within the Dover Facility. Responsible for insuring effective use of computer software, hardware, and technology within their facilities. For assigned locations: Translates business requirements into technical and application solutions. Balances needs of the location with the needs of the BU and global organization. Leads and coordinates change within the location and across the Global IS organization. Responsible for the development, management, and execution of the IS budget. Manages IS teams, including staffing decisions, assignment and prioritization of projects and tasks, coaching, training, performance management, and providing input into compensation decisions. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring IS project activities to achieve goals within defined performance metrics. Ensures the location IS organizations operates in compliance with all Howmet requirements. Represents the BU Plant IS Organization in the development and implementation of policy/practice driven by the greater Howmet IS Organization. Through collaboration/participation with the BU IS Lead Team, lead/sponsor projects and initiatives that improve and unify the AE IS environment and organization. Manages the local IS Team to ensure the infrastructure, application and development support are met to provide a technical advantage. Coordinate the local IS team and the manufacturing teams to ensure quick and efficient resolution of issues. Manage and prioritize projects and tasks and make work assignments to the local IS staff in conjunction with the needs of the location, the BU, and the global IS organization. Assists in new system development and installation, acting as project leader for major systems and a point of contact for BU/GBS-deployed systems. Follows the appropriate project management practices/policies as required. Leads and fosters a team environment that empowers others to contribute, resolve conflict, and build consensus while ensuring business objectives are met. Operates within Howmet IS standards and conventions and applicable Howmet standards. Leads the implementation of these standards and processes within the location as required. Ensure compliance with all guidelines detailed in the IT ASAT for the location. Responsible for the on-time completion of all assigned ASAT testing and action plans, both personally and for the location. Maintains a broad understanding of the business processes within the plant, their key users, and the business systems that support them. Participates in the analysis of the plant's processes to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement. Acts as liaison between IS, location business leadership, BU and Global IS, and IS suppliers on all IS issues and projects. Provides IS operational and infrastructure support for the local facility, including such things as IT security, backups, networks, workstations, server rooms and voice communication. Performs other duties as assigned.
