Cyber Systems Security Engineer with Security Clearance Employer: Marathon TS Inc Location: Colorado Springs Salary: Competitive Closing date: 29 Jul 2025 Categories: View more categories, View less categories Sector: IT Job Role: Security Engineer Job Type: Permanent Requirements: Secret Clearance (with TS/SCI eligibility), 7 years and an advanced degree or 9 years and a bachelor's degree of related professional work experience. Job Duties: Provide Cybersecurity Systems Engineering (CSSE) knowledge and expertise for MILSATCOM systems. Maintain awareness of current and emerging Cyber threats. Assist with the analysis of Cyber threats and help determine impact to the systems. Evaluate how the systems can mitigate the Cyber threats and develop Courses of Action (COAs). Develop procedures to counter/mitigate Cyber threats to the Ground Systems, Space Vehicle, and payloads. Assist with the development of recovery plans to return the systems to operation. Apply systems engineering and cyber expertise for the development and implementation of mission recovery TTPs. Assess software and hardware behaviors due to systems' modifications. Support and implement intrusion detection solutions into the Protected EHF SATCOM system baselines. Analyze, report, and summarize DISA Endpoint Security Solution (ESS) data. Manage cybersecurity defense suite of tools, including CSS accounts, accesses, and monitoring dashboards. Provide Tier 1 troubleshooting for CSS tools (Splunk, DISA ACAS, DISA ESS). Prepare, maintain, and submit RMF artifacts. Create and update system artifacts like hardware/software baselines, network diagrams, etc. Ensure systems meet RMF standards by coordinating with ISSOs/ISSMs. Perform network vulnerability scans and analyze vulnerabilities. Support security accreditation activities and patch releases. Support development of Security Assessment Plans (SAP). Participate in cybersecurity technical meetings.
