: $60,000 - $75,000 annually (up to a maximum opportunity of up to $80,000 with tenure and strong performance). Dev Ops / Sys Ops Lead II
: $78,000 - $95,000 annually (up to a maximum opportunity of up to $100,000 with tenure and strong performance). Position Summary We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Dev Ops / Sys Ops Lead to support our growing software delivery and infrastructure operations. This role supports hybrid environments (AWS, GCP, on-prem, and datacenter) and requires expertise in automation, CI/CD, observability, and using infrastructure as Code (IaC). Dev Ops / Sys Ops Lead I
(Level I) focuses on strong technical execution, hands-on support, and process optimization. Dev Ops / Sys Ops Lead II
(Level 2) adds broader strategic responsibility, overseeing DevOps initiatives, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring systems-level alignment with business and engineering goals. This position will be filled at the Dev Ops / Sys Ops Lead I or II contingent upon the experience of the selected candidate. Key Responsibilities CI/CD Pipeline & Automation (Both Levels) Design, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions. Collaborate with developers to automate and streamline code deployment, testing, and release processes. Enforce DevSecOps best practices for secure and scalable software delivery. Infrastructure & Configuration Management (Both Levels) Provision and manage infrastructure across AWS, GCP, on-prem, and datacenter environments using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). Administer and automate infrastructure configuration, scaling, and patch management. Observability & Incident Response (Both Levels) Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch). Proactively identify and respond to infrastructure or application issues, ensuring high availability and performance. Containerization & Kubernetes (Both Levels) Deploy and support containerized applications using Kubernetes and Helm charts. Play a key role in architecting and standing up a greenfield Kubernetes environment. Additional Level II Responsibilities Lead the strategic design and implementation of DevOps initiatives aligned with business goals. Supervise, mentor, and coach junior DevOps team members. Evaluate new tools and technologies and drive continuous improvement across the SDLC. Contribute to policy development and process standardization to support enterprise reliability and scalability. Qualifications Dev Ops / Sys Ops Lead I Education: Associate’s degree in information technology or a related field preferred. Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Build & Release Engineering role. Technical Skills: Experience with GitHub Actions and modern CI/CD workflows. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python). Familiarity with Linux systems administration (Windows admin experience a plus). Exposure to IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch). Basic networking knowledge (DNS, VPNs, Load Balancers). Soft Skills: Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills. Eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Team-orientated and adaptable. Dev Ops / Sys Ops Lead II Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field required. Experience: 3-5 years in a DevOps, SRE, or Build & Release Engineering role. Proven experience leading or managing DevOps initiatives or small teams. Technical Skills: Extensive experience with version control systems (Git/GitHub). Strong proficiency with scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) and automation tooling. Working knowledge of Linux systems administration (Windows admin experience preferred). Experience with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch). Extensive networking knowledge (DNS, VPNs, Load Balancers). Security-conscious mindset, particularly around DevSecOps practices. Soft Skills: Leadership, mentoring, and decision-making ability. Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration.
