We are working with an innovative, AI-native fintech startup that’s redefining how banks serve small businesses. Founded by Stanford alumni with deep expertise in banking and machine learning, this company is tackling the $150B+ business lending space by replacing legacy systems with cutting-edge AI infrastructure. Their AI platform helps banks offer funding to small businesses more efficiently — with 90% less manual effort and dramatically higher conversion rates. Backed by top-tier investors including Y Combinator, Peterson Ventures, and Clocktower Technology Ventures, this company is on a mission to unlock affordable funding for the 30M+ small businesses across the U.S. The team operates with intense velocity and ownership, directly partnering with financial institutions to drive real impact. What You Will Do
Build end-to-end features in a full-stack capacity, with an emphasis on frontend excellence using React, TypeScript, and Next.js
Work directly with users, including bank executives and loan officers, to iterate quickly on high-impact features
Develop internal and customer-facing AI workflows, integrating NLP, prompt engineering, and document processing
Collaborate cross-functionally with the founding team to shape product direction and company strategy
Deliver scalable, production-quality code with speed and precision in a fast-paced startup environment
Ideal Candidate Background
0–15 years of experience in full-stack or frontend-leaning software engineering
Demonstrated success building complete products or systems — whether through startup experience, open-source contributions, or impactful side projects
Previous experience at early-stage startups (e.g., YC companies, founding engineer roles) or as a technical founder
Strong frontend skills (React, TypeScript, Next.js) with solid backend experience (Python, Postgres, AWS)
Built systems related to workflow automation, document processing, or fintech platforms
Experience working closely with real users to build solutions that solve real problems
Preferred
Exposure to AI/ML tools and techniques, especially prompt engineering or conversational AI
Entrepreneurial mindset: side projects, startup ventures, or hackathon wins
Education from top CS programs (e.g., Stanford, MIT, Georgia Tech) is a plus for junior candidates
Deep empathy for users and excitement about customer-facing product development
