Job Description Exciting Opportunity: Become a Certified Family Partner (CFP)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Family Partner (CFP) to provide vital support and advocacy for families as they engage in their recovery journey. Under the guidance of the Lead Certified Family Partner or other designated supervisor, the CFP will assist families in navigating their wellness and recovery process by fostering empowerment, self-advocacy, and engagement.

The CFP will play a key role in helping families make informed decisions that guide them toward wellness and recovery. Drawing from their own lived experience, the CFP builds trust and respect, working closely with families to help them develop their voices and learn to use them effectively in their treatment and recovery. The CFP ensures families are actively involved in decision-making, whether in routine situations, during a crisis, or throughout the Wraparound process.

Conduct home visits to provide in-person support.

Mentor and encourage parents, offering guidance and emotional support.

Role model positive parenting and advocacy skills.

Facilitate support groups for families receiving services at Bluebonnet.

Serve as the certified family partner on the Wraparound team, ensuring that the family’s voice and choices are heard and respected.

Share knowledge of current and emerging trends that benefit families with colleagues.

Support families in various settings, including schools, courts, medical and mental health clinics, and other child-serving systems. This may involve attending ARDs, court hearings, doctor’s appointments, social security appointments, and more.

Collaborate closely with physicians, treatment team members, and community resource agencies.
