Academy for Young Minds (AYM) Powered by Gersh, AYM is seeking an experienced
Speech Therapist
to join our team and work in one of our state-of-the-art classrooms in
Long Island City, NY .
Job Responsibilities:
Provide appropriate and individualized therapy and interventions to students.
Collect data on students’ progress.
Assess students’ progress to inform continued instruction.
Support the team with the development of social and language skills of students.
Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
Use Central Reach parent portal.
Demonstrate professionalism in the classroom while adhering to the mission, vision, and philosophy of AYM.
Prepare and clean up therapy space each day.
Minimum Qualifications:
NYS License as a Speech and Language Pathologist.
NYS TSHH or TSLD Certification.
Understanding of the needs of students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or other developmental disabilities.
PROMPT training.
Knowledge of NYS Common Core Standards and RTI.
Excellent verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Computer proficiency (e.g., database, word processing, etc.).

The pay range for this role is: $75,000 - $90,000 USD per year (Queens LIC).
