JOB SUMMARY

Naples Comprehensive Healthcare (NCH) and Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) are partnering to develop a state-of-the-art musculoskeletal (MSK) center, providing orthopedic care through the surgical and non-surgical care spectrum. As a member of our acute care physical therapy team, you will provide care for a diverse range of patients. Upon referral by a physician, you will evaluate patient condition, determine the appropriate treatment plan and set rehabilitation goals. Educating patients and family members on the most up-to-date approaches to the rehabilitation process will be an important part of this role.

This role requires a strong background in acute care and ambulatory surgery (AMS) orthopedic care, as well as an understanding of how to integrate the acute services within a multi-disciplinary clinic. Candidates need to be experienced in adult inpatient orthopedic physical therapy with knowledge of adult orthopedic surgeries and post-operative guidelines. This role will also include treatment of Ambulatory Surgery patients and involvement in both pre- and post-operative evaluations and treatments, inclusive of telehealth. Outstanding communication skills and the ability to work well in a team are also vital. The Acute Care Staff Physical Therapist will report directly to the HSS at NCH Inpatient Rehabilitation Manager for the MSK Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Other duties may be assigned. • Candidate must be a nimble self-starter; dynamic and flexible to meet the needs of a new collaboration both on the initial launch phase and ongoing. • Collaboration with leadership to develops goals for acute care rehab in line with the HSS brand and culture to ensures consistency across the enterprise • Positive role model, inspiring enthusiasm and commitment to excellence and demonstrates behaviors which reflect the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct. • The candidate must be dynamic and adaptable, able to pivot quickly to meet the changing demands of a new and ongoing collaboration, both during the initial launch and as the partnership develops.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS • Minimum of Master's Degree in Physical Therapy. • 3 years' experience in acute care and post-operative patient setting preferred. • Clinical experience and expertise in the realm of orthopedics and sports medicine rehabilitation. • Current FL Physical Therapy licensure • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. • Excellent time management skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong problem-solving skills.
