Developer - DevOps Ft. Bragg, NC Job Description: This position requires a TS/SCI security clearance. The Cloud Developer - DevOps works with a team of diverse architects and engineers with backgrounds in PaaS, DevOps, Security, and IaaS operations to support the Government Program Offices global cloud and platform services environments. The Cloud Developer - DevOps is responsible for the engineering and lifecycle management of mainly cloud-based platforms to ensure high reliability and security. Responsibilities include: Developing visually appealing front-end website architecture, translating designer mock-ups and wireframes into code. Designing user interactions on web pages. Developing functional databases, applications, and servers to support websites on the back end. Ensuring cross-platform optimization for mobile devices. Developing and designing RESTful services and APIs. Staying updated on developments in web applications and programming languages. Strategizing organizational direction on emerging technology platforms and communicating with stakeholders. Providing insights on cutting-edge software approaches, architectures, and vendors. Considering non-functional requirements such as security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability in solution architecture. Keeping current with new development tools, techniques, and equipment through continuous learning and professional engagement. Education and Experience: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field plus 5+ years of relevant experience. Required skills include: Fluency in CSS (Foundation or Bootstrap), JavaScript, and HTML, with knowledge of Sass and LESS. Strong knowledge of Linux, PHP, MySQL, with familiarity with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, AngularJS, Express.js, Oracle, React, Ember, and Node.js. Experience with JS tools like Bower, Grunt, and Gulp. Proficiency with languages such as Java, .NET, Python, PHP, or Ruby. Experience with server technologies including Apache, IIS, Node.js, Nginx, and J2EE. API/RESTful service design and development experience. Understanding of libraries like Backbone.js and jQuery. Experience with AJAX. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Thorough understanding of AWS IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services. Experience using Docker Compose for container images. Fluency in GitOps practices. Preferred Experience includes: Working with identity and access management solutions. Experience with Agile methodologies, Jira, and Confluence. Monitoring and logging experience, especially with Splunk. Relevant AWS certifications such as SysOps, Developer, or Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional level). 3+ years of experience with GitLab.
