DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a
Journeyman Computer Systems Engineer/Architect
to join our team on an upcoming contract supporting the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) Information Systems Division (ISD) in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. The USCG ALC ISD provides development, security, and operations (DevSecOps) IT support for products and services for the Coast Guard Information Officer (CIO), Commandant, and Coast Guard Cyber Command through a geographically dispersed workforce including military, civilians, and contractor personnel. The role involves supporting USCG missions with a focus on growing interconnectivity, data reliance, networks, and development of commercial space and AI systems. Position is on-site with off-site capabilities. Duties & Responsibilities Design and develop solutions for complex application problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Perform systems management and integration functions. Develop new software solution concepts and enterprise logistics systems using Agile principles to extend current capabilities over five years. Develop software standards to improve system stability. Manage and incorporate industry-proven technology for logistic support solutions, supporting both organic development and acquisitions (GOTS, COTS). Support enterprise applications by evaluating solutions to meet customer requirements and USCG modernization efforts. Contribute to validation documentation, including technical specifications, instructions, and test plans. Debug software and identify necessary corrections to meet requirements.
Qualifications
Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Bachelor's or associate degree in Computer Science, Math, IT, Engineering, or related field, or relevant IT certification. Two years' experience with Ingres, SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle databases. Experience with Procedure Language/SQL, stored procedures, and triggers. Three years' experience with System Modeling Tools. Two years' experience with Kubernetes, Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket or similar tools.
