Job Description:

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Florida is seeking candidates to join an active and collegial group as Division Chief of Pediatric Nephrology. The division provides inpatient services at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital, ranked #1 Children’s Hospital in Florida in 2022-2023 by U.S. News & World Report. Our pediatric nephrology program offers services to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with various kidney diseases, including expertise in renal failure, dialysis, and transplantation. The team manages a wide range of conditions such as bladder and kidney problems, hypertension, electrolyte issues, and fetal renal abnormalities.

The division, consisting of 3 pediatric nephrologists, 2 fellows, 1 advanced practitioner, and dedicated support staff, seeks a leader to foster clinical, research, and educational excellence. Candidates must be board certified in Pediatric Nephrology and at the rank of Associate or Professor. UF Health is an equal opportunity employer, encouraging women and minorities to apply. Commensurate with education and experience

Minimum Requirements:

M.D. or equivalent; board certified in Pediatric Nephrology; at the Associate/Professor level

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven leadership, scholarly accomplishments, administrative experience, and community engagement. Management and educational experience are highly valued.
