Jacobs is seeking a dedicated Junior Data Scientist to join our Advisory Solutions Group, specifically within the Data Analytics Practice focusing on Federal clients. This role is pivotal in a specialized team that delivers data-driven analytical solutions to a variety of Federal organizations, aiming to improve operational efficiency and management effectiveness. Key Responsibilities: Contribute to data-driven solutions for Federal clients, enhancing operational efficiency and management effectiveness. Support both internal projects and external client requirements through data analysis and insights. Participate in data collection, database architecture development, statistical analysis, and visualization/reporting. Collaborate with internal teams and clients, providing strategic insights and solutions. Demonstrate enthusiasm for developing new data practices/systems and identifying business opportunities.

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related field from an accredited university. 2 years of experience in data science or a related field, including academic projects or internships focusing on data analytics; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Basic proficiency with Python, TypeScript, or other programming languages. Understanding of SQL and relational databases. Knowledge of or exposure to Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau and PowerBI. Strong problem-solving capabilities and a team-oriented mindset. Eagerness to learn and apply new technical skills in a fast-paced environment. Ability to travel up to 20% of the time CONUS and OCONUS. Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Common Access Card. United States Citizenship.
