Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Clinical Pharmacotherapy Specialist - Adult Medicine. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining a high-level practice. Works under minimal supervision to troubleshoot challenges related to the delivery of patient care, clinical program management, and staff supervision. Responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining clinical pharmacotherapy programs. Job Responsibilities:

Fulfill the core values and mission of NYU Langone Medical Center and incorporate them into the performance of duties. Maintain professional competency and certification. Identify and provide expertise for Medication Use Evaluations. Responsible for Pharmacy Resident precepting, Pharmacy student mentoring, and scholarly activity. Participate in hospital committees as assigned by the Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services. Document and report clinical interventions, adverse drug reactions, and medication errors. Develop and implement clinical practice guidelines to enhance pharmaceutical care and medication safety. Evaluate and report measures of patient encounter productivity and identify methods to improve efficiency. Develop policies and procedures that optimize pharmacy operations while meeting accreditation standards and regulations. Contribute to the professional development of staff, including pharmacists and clinical pharmacists. Oversee quality assurance of clinical pharmacy programs to improve quality of care. Develop and maintain high-level clinical pharmacy practice, participate in multidisciplinary bedside rounds, provide pharmacotherapeutic, pharmacokinetic, and pharmaco-economics consultations, respond to medical emergencies, conduct patient histories, participate in transition of care, provide medication counseling, and engage in educational initiatives. Minimum Qualifications:

Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy. New York State Pharmacist Licensure. PGY1 pharmacy residency training. PGY2 pharmacy residency training or equivalent experience at a pharmacy school. Board certification in Pharmacotherapy or other specialty within 18 months of hire. Self-motivation, good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Required Licenses:
