About A&M Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) Our PEPI practice serves upper middle market and large-cap private equity firms, focusing on assessing potential transactions and improving operating results at portfolio companies, typically with revenues between $50 million and over $1 billion. Within our Education coverage team, we handle mandates like synergy assessment and integration planning for organizations in: K-12 Higher education (for-profit and non-profit) Skilled trade schools Other training and development businesses Merger Integration & Carve-outs: Build Your Expertise This role offers the chance to develop operational skills through direct client exposure and working on complex deals across the US. Our MI&C team provides structured approaches for mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, joint ventures, and alliances, working across the deal lifecycle from pre-deal reviews to post-close execution. As a manager, responsibilities include leading workstreams, evaluating client issues, and driving performance improvements in areas such as strategic planning, operational optimization, supply chain, IT integration, and more. You will oversee initiatives like Day 1 planning, synergies, and restructuring plans, with opportunities for career growth and international assignments. Qualifications 5-8+ years of experience in corporate or consulting roles, especially in merger integration or business transformation Experience or exposure to the for-profit education sector Understanding of key value drivers and trends in for-profit education Leadership in business transformation workstreams Deep expertise in areas like finance, HR, operations, or marketing MBA preferred Excellent communication, initiative, and critical thinking skills Willingness to travel up to 80% Your Journey at A&M We support your professional growth through training, mentorship, and opportunities for advancement. Salary ranges from $125,000 to $190,000, plus discretionary bonuses, based on experience and location.
