We work with a diverse range of clients across various industries, including telecommunications, transportation, water/wastewater, transit, aviation, and ports, for private and public agencies. APS is searching for a dynamic Professional Engineer to lead and expand our professional service expertise in providing reliable underground and above-ground utility information to reduce the risks that utilities present for infrastructure projects. In this role, the Engineer will play a pivotal part in growing the company’s subsurface utility engineering practice, providing valuable opportunities to enhance their skills across a diverse portfolio of projects. Applied Professional Services, Inc (APS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of T2 Utility Engineers. Since 1993, T2 Utility Engineers has provided professional Subsurface Utility Engineering and Utility Coordination services in support of infrastructure projects of all sizes and types. Using advanced technologies, our team of field technicians, engineers, and surveyors provide quality data and professional insight to help our clients visualize, plan, and design their projects. Our mission is to provide project stakeholders with quality information, professional insight, and deliverables that streamline construction, improve project safety, and set the standard for the engineering industry. Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

Interface with clients to obtain work and conduct business development activities. Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new clients. Report on client and competitor activities. Attend and participate in Civil Engineering Industry events. Prepare business activity and forest reports. Review composite utility files, plan sheet drawings, and complete ASCE 38 compliant SUE plans in Microstation and AutoCAD Civil 3D. Manage simultaneous projects and tasks effectively. Work with proposal teams and respond to RFI, proposals, and quotations. Prepare work plans, assemble project teams, delegate tasks, and ensure scope compliance and timely completion. Participate in proposals, rate and staff hour estimates, and negotiations. Represent APS at client meetings. Oversee QA/QC functions to ensure high-quality deliverables. Review invoices and prepare/review progress reports to clients. Qualifications

4-year degree in civil engineering plus 10+ years of civil engineering experience. Must be a licensed professional engineer in Washington or in the process of obtaining WA PE within 1 year. Experience in Transportation, Water/Wastewater, or Transit is a plus. Strong networking skills for strategic growth and client acquisition. Excellent communication, supervisory, mentoring, planning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of MicroStation, AutoCAD / Civil 3D is a plus. Proficient in MS Office. Knowledge of Subsurface Utility Engineering and Utility Coordination is a plus. Strong technical writing and project management skills. Flexible work schedule. We Offer a Complete Benefits Package!
