Staff FPGA Engineer
to lead the digital design and implementation of advanced antenna systems that enable resilient, high-rate communications worldwide. If you’re passionate about building complex, high-impact technology that will be deployed across the globe, this is your chance to join a team shaping the future of space communications. What You’ll Do Design, develop, and test FPGA-based networking and digital signal processing (DSP) blocks for high-speed, parallel data pipelines Lead multidisciplinary projects from initial architecture and prototyping through to production and operational deployment Drive system architecture decisions and translate requirements into robust hardware designs Analyze performance data from field testing to troubleshoot, optimize, and improve communication systems What You’ll Bring Basic Qualifications: 7+ years of professional experience in FPGA development Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field Deep expertise in Verilog and SystemVerilog Strong experience with FPGA-based DSP or networking applications Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation Hands-on experience working with FPGA SoCs Skilled in using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers to debug high-speed designs Ability to work onsite in Torrance, CA Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with High-Level Synthesis (HLS) Experience in C++ or Rust Background in high-performance PCBA architecture and design involving FPGAs Why You’ll Love It Here Be part of a mission-driven team working on technology with real-world impact Tackle challenging, large-scale problems at the forefront of space innovation See your work deployed in production environments across the globe If you’re ready to take ownership of critical FPGA systems and help drive the next wave of space-based connectivity, we’d love to hear from you.
