This role entails leading project controls for assigned projects, ensuring quality work on time, on budget, and to the client’s satisfaction. The candidate will provide leadership and project controls expertise, working closely with project managers, clients, and stakeholders. The role may involve supervising 5-10 or more staff and managing project controls functions on small to medium projects (up to $250M in construction costs). The position requires reporting to an office in Cincinnati, Cleveland, or Columbus, Ohio. What You’ll Do Manage project controls staff, including budget, scheduling, document control, risk management, and claims analysis. Create and publish guidelines, manuals, and reports for project staff. Develop and maintain project controls procedures and work instructions. Supervise scheduling efforts, including baseline, progress, and specialty schedules. Assist in or direct the preparation of specialty schedules, labor forecasts, and cash flows. Oversee cost efforts, including guidance on cost management systems and monthly reports. Analyze variances and recommend corrective actions. Manage project controls systems such as PMCS, document control, and scheduling systems. Develop cost estimating capabilities and supervise estimating efforts. Maintain automated systems for reporting project status. Supervise document control efforts. Prepare reports for monitoring project progress. Support internal and external meetings with reports and analysis. May oversee recruitment, staff development, and performance reviews for the project controls team. What You’ll Need Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience, or 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of education. What We Prefer 5+ years of EPC or A&E project controls experience, including scheduling, cost estimating, or document control. One or more AACE certifications such as PSP, EVP, CCP, CEP, or DRMP. Experience across multiple project phases. Experience working as a client’s PM/CM or as part of a design-build team.
