Base pay range
$105,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr Required Skills & Experience 6+ years of experience working with server, storage, compute, and network hardware. 6+ years of experience troubleshooting & repairing servers / networking infrastructure. 5+ years of experience in inventory management, ordering, receiving, and shipping server & network equipment. Nice to Have Skills & Experience Experience with Bash commands, Linux, fiber, Python automation scripting, triaging, and AI hardware (high preference). Proficient in Linux, including navigating directories and file systems. Skilled in manipulating files using the Linux shell. Experienced in configuring user permissions. Capable of package installation and software management. Knowledgeable in identifying and applying different filesystem types. Proficient in Linux commands for process management. Experienced in Bash or other scripting languages. On-call experience with the ability to respond to critical events. Proven experience leading Data Center Infrastructure projects. Inventory management skills. Over 4 years of experience in structured cabling (copper/fiber). Over 4 years of experience in power and cooling concepts within data centers. Job Description One of our large clients is seeking Data Center Technicians to join a rapidly growing tech company in Memphis, TN. Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to Memphis. As a Senior Data Center Technician, you will oversee the health and performance of server and network infrastructure across Data Centers and Global Points of Presence. Your responsibilities include managing critical metrics like MTTD and MTTR, following instructions, learning quickly, and responding promptly to onsite emergencies. You will utilize your comprehensive knowledge of data center equipment to drive efficiencies and optimize server intake and repair processes. Initial work involves reporting to the job site during construction and providing updates to the engineering team. Key tasks include troubleshooting servers and networks, rack and stack equipment, maintaining inventory, troubleshooting fiber/optics, handling power cabling, installing hardware, responding to tickets via Jira, documenting procedures, decommissioning hardware, managing vendor returns, and designing network layouts.
