GITI is seeking a Software Developer/Engineer capable of developing cyber capabilities and exploitation tools. The candidate will research, develop, architect, and integrate cyber tools and techniques into existing or new environments. Successful candidates must possess critical thinking, problem-solving skills, creativity, curiosity, resourcefulness, and a passion for research that leads to deeper insights. The role may involve independent work or participation in project reviews of requirements, architecture, and detailed designs. A Software Developer/Engineer must collaborate effectively with a proactive attitude to share knowledge, deliver quality results, and continuously improve. Meet/exceed performance-based certification requirements for USCYBERCOM Capability Developer JQRs. Support R&D, testing, and evaluation of software applications, translating operational requirements into technical solutions to provide or modernize cyberspace capabilities. Proficient in creating, debugging, patching, and maintaining software/applications in various programming languages (Python, C++, Java, etc.). Utilize CASE tools, automated testing, and infrastructure as code (IaC) capabilities effectively. Design and implement software system models, including microservices, monolithic, and event-driven architectures. Assist in integrating new cyberspace capabilities into operation platforms and weapon systems for cyber operations and intelligence. Develop and refine cyber tradecraft, Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) to support mission needs. Communicate effectively to gather, analyze, and deliver high-quality products while managing risks and vulnerabilities. Be a proactive team player, committed to continuous learning and team improvement. Make decisions, estimates, and recommendations under urgency based on experience and judgment. Stay updated on advancements in software development and cyber technologies to foster innovation. Research and apply new tools and techniques; continuously improve skills through training and sharing. Required Skills:
Experience in software development or related fields. Strong proficiency in two or more programming/scripting languages (e.g., C, C++, Python, Perl, Bash, Java, etc.). Experience with documentation, configuration management, and secure coding practices. Understanding of multiple architectures (x86/64, ARM, MIPS, etc.). Knowledge of exploit development techniques (arbitrary code execution, privilege escalation, obfuscation, etc.). Experience with cross-architecture compile tools. Skilled in simulation/model development and prototyping. Experience developing unit, integration, system, and acceptance tests. Familiarity with disassemblers/decompilers (IDA Pro, Ghidra, Radare, Binary Ninja). Proficiency with debuggers (WinDbg, GDB, IDA Debugger, etc.). Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills. Desired Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in CS, electrical engineering, mathematics, or related; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred. Proficiency in three or more programming/scripting languages listed under required skills. Relevant certifications (e.g., GXPN, GPYC, GCWN, OSEE, OSCE, OSWE, etc.). Certifications:
