The Physician, Program Director will serve as the program director of cardiac imaging, providing administrative functions necessary for the efficient and fiscally responsible management of the program. The Physician, Program Director is responsible for duties assigned by the medical director of cardiology, the Executive Medical Director of the heart and vascular service line, and/or senior leadership of WSG. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, establishing credentials for cardiac CT and MRI in Cardiology and Radiology, facilitating credential reviews, establishing and administering cardiac imaging QA, coordinating scheduling for inpatient and outpatient studies with Cardiology and Radiology, and optimizing protocols to ensure high-quality, efficient studies. The role also involves liaising with Cardiology, ER, Hospitalists, EP, Structural Heart, AHF, and other departments to establish appropriate use criteria and protocols, and coordinating with Administration/Technology committees regarding equipment, software, and staffing.
