Continuous Improvement Project Manager

to join the

Electrical Wiring Systems Team

in

Concord, NC . This position reports to the Continuous Improvement Manager, implement/utilize/manage “Lean” and Continuous Improvement principles/projects in manufacturing and administrative environments to improve productivity, quality and to meet or exceed cost objectives.

What Will You Do?

Analyze data, identify areas of opportunity, and target “Lean” events to support department/plant goals. Lead and facilitate Kaizen events. Work with manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, productivity, capacity and flexibility across all departments. Support/Improve the “Visual Factory” in departments by incorporating management dashboards and visual indicators for “Standard Work”. Develop detailed cost estimates for new and modified products. Establish & maintain manufacturing information including labor standards, routings, SWIs (as needed) and BOM corrections. Manage new product launches at Concord including schedules, expenditures, and reporting. Train various Legrand personnel on various lean tools and processes. Manage and mentor in Concord’s “Supervisor-in-training” program. Assist in developing work content for and mentoring our OLDPs. Promote a strong culture of continuous improvement. Performs other similar and related duties as required.

Education

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree (Technical Field or Systems Engineering Preferred)

Experience

Three (3) years or more supporting “Lean”/CI activities in a complex Manufacturing environment Facilitation in a “Lean”/CI Environment

Preferred Skills

Good verbal and written communication skills applicable to all levels of the organization Possess good leadership qualities Good experience with Microsoft Office – (Word, Excel, PPT, Access) Excellent organizational and time management skills Excellent attention to details Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize activities Self-starter Basic ACAD or equiv. skills needed Possess lean knowledge and skills Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends to establish proactive corrective actions applicable to the situation

Travel – Two to three times a year.
