The PACE Contracting

Senior Project Manager

manages wastewater, water treatment, and streetscape construction projects from inception to completion as a general contractor. The role requires excellent leadership, planning, scheduling, project execution, financial management, and technical expertise. Project Managers are key leaders within the organization, capable of communicating effectively with upper management and field staff. Collaboration and teamwork are essential, as the organization functions as a cohesive unit. Job Responsibilities

Leadership

Provides and drives the project vision established in collaboration with the client to upper management, project team, subcontractors, and stakeholders. Motivates project team members to realize the project vision. Effectively communicates project constraints and goals. Maintains professionalism. Oversees and leads multiple Project Managers. Planning & Scheduling

Oversees construction projects from start to finish by developing and updating a master project schedule, ensuring timely completion. Identifies scope of work and performs quantity takeoffs from engineering plans. Establishes subcontract and supplier requirements. Reviews submittals for compliance with drawings and specifications. Generates and submits RFIs to owners/engineers. Performs cost analysis on construction methods. Collaborates with field personnel to develop short-term schedules. Project Execution

Monitors projects to ensure adherence to procedures and quality standards. Oversees purchasing activities to ensure quality and timely delivery. Coordinates with engineers, inspectors, and clients to resolve issues. Reviews field activities and supports schedule adherence. Coordinates work with subcontractors to ensure scope and specifications are met. Administers policies and procedures to subcontractors. Financial Management

Controls and tracks project costs to maintain profitability. Prepares monthly cost-to-complete reports. Ensures positive cash flow. Provides sales projections for projects. Technical Expertise

Conducts project inspections and advises on work progress and quality. Understands civil, architectural, mechanical, and electrical construction methods. Supports safety initiatives and addresses conditions needing attention. Education and Experience

B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager with similar project sizes ($5M-$20M). Experience as a Foreman or Superintendent is a plus. Estimating experience is a plus. Proven budgeting skills. Strong organizational and prioritization skills; detail-oriented. Proficient in MS Office, Primavera, AutoCAD, Vista.
