We are looking for an
Indirect Commodity Manager
to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to the
Sr. Manager Indirect Procurement
and will be based in
San Jose, CA . This is a fully on-site, in office role.
Responsibilities:
Lead the short- and medium-term sourcing strategies and commodity management for assigned commodities Take responsibility for delivering cost reduction, business continuity, compliance and working capital improvements with year-over-year improvements in total cost of ownership, while improving service levels. Conduct comprehensive cost data analysis, identify cost saving levers while utilizing strong analytical skills such as cost modeling, quotation analysis, supplier selection and supply/demand analysis Manage supplier performance related to quality, continuous process improvement, and qualification to ensure they consistently meet or exceed business expectations Drive improvements in key metrics such as cost, quality, deliverables, customer service, technology, and cycle-time. Develop strong cross-functional relationships to drive success and ensure that supplier contracts reflect business requirements. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design scopes, develop sourcing plans, manage supplier negotiations, and lead external communications. Work with Accounting Team to support invoice payment reconciliation and approval. Have business mindset to challenge existing processes and suggest new ways to optimize and improve procurement efficiency.
Required Experience & Education:
6+ years' experience in sourcing commodity strategy for Indirect, supplier relationship management, and supplier continuous improvement program, ideally in a manufacturing environment. Strong negotiation and contracting skills with expertise in Master Agreements. Project management background a plus Be able to work within a highly ambiguous environment along with being able to adapt to various situations and find solutions. Excellent communication skills, capability to ramp quickly on new initiatives, demonstrated skills in leadership influencing, planning contract negotiations, teamwork while delivering results. Familiarity with ERP systems, ideally with experience in oracle/ I Supplier Advanced skills in data analysis, Excel and PowerPoint required BS/MS/MBA in Engineering/Technology or Supply Chain or a related field. High degree of integrity, initiative, and attention to detail in a collaborative environment
