Req#: 21571 OVERVIEW The St. Charles plant is one of two recently acquired TNT pizza crust locations. It is located in a newer facility in the St. Louis suburbs of St. Charles County. We operate in a dynamic business environment with lots of current investment and growth. The St. Charles plant has become a strategic and critical plant to the NAF segment. The St. Charles Plant Operations Manager is expected to be an active member of the plant leadership team and help set the direction for the entire site of approximately 100 employees, with room to grow to 250+ employees. They will lead operations for our Ready Rise, Partially Baked, and Better for You pizza crust lines. The Operations Manager will be responsible for providing leadership and manufacturing expertise to deliver results for the plant and the businesses they support. The Operations Manager is responsible for daily operations of 4 production lines for all shifts. This position currently has 4 direct reports with plans to continue to grow the team. This role provides critical leadership to drive our Continuous Improvement journey; including the technical/business teams on major capital projects and ensure active teams have solutions needed to drive safety, quality, and performance plans. The Operations Manager will be expected to help set tactical as well as strategic direction for each line as well as provide input for all departments on the site. This role is expected to provide strategic leadership support for the many growth projects in the plant. In addition to this work, this role will be expected to work with the business team ensuring success of business plan execution that will provide HMM, growth opportunities and deliver planned business results. This position reports to the St. Charles Plant Manager. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Champion a belief in zero human and food safety incidents and drive safety improvements in the operations organization and throughout the plant Drive a continuous improvement culture that improves plant operating results while maximizing customer service Develop short and long term strategies to drive organizational effectiveness, productivity, and improvements in key metrics Exemplify Servant and Engaging Leadership and establish and maintain positive employee relations environment throughout the plant Educate, coach, and develop Operations Supervisors to ensure their teams deliver strong results Lead gap closure and process standardization for the operations organization Play to win as an active member of the Plant Leadership Team and provide counsel and support on key plant tactical and strategic initiatives Create an environment where all employees are encouraged & developed to reach their full potential in meeting department/business goals Direct and lead plant staff in the development, prioritization, and implementation of key initiatives in support of the plant Master Plan Ensure the proper selection, training, development, and motivation of subordinates to maximize current and future performance Implement FSA (Foundational Systems Activation) line teams and coach supervisors/leads in DDS meetings MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 3-5 years of related experience Commitment to Safety and Continuous Improvement Breadth of Operations and Business experience across divisions and/or channels Strong understanding of overall plant operations Demonstrated understanding of the impact of operations and manufacturing upon the greater Supply Chain Thorough knowledge of GMI (or equivalent) operations systems and procedures; including MQIS. Strong leadership skills and the ability to drive change Strong conceptual, analytical and decision-making skills including demonstrated problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills Excellent interpersonal, communication and listening skills Ability to engage, motivate, and develop others Ability to multitask and apply problem solving tools and principles Understanding and experience interacting with multiple business functions, including FSQ, Purchasing, Distribution, Human Resources, Finance, Engineering, and especially the Business Teams Ability to identify potential business solutions involving a broad scope of thinking across businesses and functions to develop innovation PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree Ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, adversity, and change Mature approach to challenging situations and environments Commitment to Safety and Continuous Improvement Knowledge and/or Experience leading a successful FSA (Foundational Systems Activation) Experience working with High Performing Self-Directed Teams Proven experience leading salaried and production employees COMPANY OVERVIEW We exist to make food the world loves. Salary Range The salary range for this position is $89200.00 - $133900.00 / Annually.
