This role is located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Successful applicants will have the ability to work reliably in a remote setting prior to our selection of a physical working environment, but should be prepared to report in office full time once site selection has occurred.
Job Purpose
The Supply Chain Business Operations Manager is responsible for supporting and leading a team in all aspects of supply chain business analytics, process optimization, systems management, standard work, and compliance activities. The role includes supplier analysis, monitoring supply chain metrics, optimizing processes, ensuring customer and supplier satisfaction, and contributing to successful project execution while meeting organizational goals.

Oversee activities of supply chain analysts, compliance, and training teams.
Develop a business optimization strategy and a multi-year roadmap with an actionable plan.
Collect and analyze data on supply chain operations to identify areas for improvement.
Lead projects to enhance supply chain efficiency.
Assess supplier performance and recommend process improvements.
Ensure and enforce supply chain compliance.
Measure and report supply chain performance to management.
Collaborate with procurement, logistics, planning, and IT departments to improve service delivery.
Support strategic sourcing with project creation and risk assessment tools related to delivery, quality, cost, capacity, and cash flow.
Assist with SIOP activities and assess risks affecting production schedules.
Utilize extensive experience to solve complex problems, negotiate prices and terms effectively.
Develop and manage performance metrics and audit processes for suppliers.
Monitor technological advancements relevant to procurement to maintain competitiveness.
Communicate effectively across organizational levels and with external partners.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve supply chain efficiency.
Coordinate supply chain activities between R+T and PDC for seamless transitions.
Supervisory Responsibility
: Yes. Supervisors are responsible for team evaluations, recruitment, and development. Qualifications/Characteristics Bachelor’s degree in Science or Arts; MBA preferred. Minimum 10 years in purchasing or supply chain, with at least 5 years in management. International experience with manufacturing facilities or suppliers in the Americas and Europe is preferred. Proven ability to drive change and improve supply chain performance. Knowledge of SAP is advantageous. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. Strong communication skills at all organizational levels. Experience in operational improvements and procurement in a centralized environment. Strategic thinking, facilitation, and influencing skills. Ability to adapt to rapid change. Experience in government contracting procurement is a plus. Proven supervisory and leadership skills. Experience with developing tools to enhance operations. Ability to develop long-term supply chain strategies. Risk and opportunity management skills. Experience collaborating with engineering, quality, and operations teams. Extensive experience with SAP ERP systems. High ethical standards and leadership qualities. Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Understanding of U.S. government acquisition laws and regulations. Working Conditions Office environment with indoor duties, moderate noise, and comfortable temperatures. Some remote work possible. Travel may be required.
