Delta is on a journey to become a world-class retailer, changing the way we sell and service flight and ancillary products to improve the overall customer experience. Deltas Retail Strategy is to consistently offer, sell, and service high-quality personalized products in the customers channel of choice.
To enable this effort, the Enterprise Solutions (ES) team is seeking a Product Manager to lead the vision and execution of IT development roadmaps that support this Retail Strategy focusing on:
Defining how to support modernization from an airline centric ticketing process to order Enabling speed to market by building flexible servicing workflows Driving and enabling consistent servicing outcomes for customers across all channels (internal and external)
A successful candidate is motivated by solving problems, exhibits curiosity to understand current processes, and can think creatively to identify solutions. Product Managers are responsible for developing a vision and roadmap for their product that aligns with the broader Retail Strategy vision. Roadmaps should reflect development required to support new products and changes to existing products. Product Mangers are responsible for leading IT teams to execute on the product vision and roadmap. They work across business units to ensure requirements are well understood across the enterprise, ensure deliverables meet business needs and balance long-term flexibility and speed to market.
Responsibilities:
Act as product owner for agile development teams. Formulate the business vision of the products and translate the vision into technical requirements. Build an executable product roadmap that balances business value, timing needs, and development complexity. Be primary commercial point of contact to facilitate development requests. Understand how the product fits into the broader eCommerce system. Collaborate with other agile development teams to understand relationships and dependencies between teams. Ensure IT development properly leverages backend mechanisms and achieves desired business goal. Work collaboratively and cross divisionally to ensure the system meets the needs of internal and third party consumers.

What You Need To Succeed (minimum Qualifications)
Minimum three years of airline, retail technology or equivalent experience required Strong business knowledge and technical skills with an in-depth understanding of product management Capable of managing multiple projects with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment Focused on results and can prioritize competing interests with seemingly disparate goals Uses data to quantify problems, identify trade-offs and develop solutions Communicates in a timely, accurate and effective manner Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles Consistently makes safety and security of self and others the priority Must be performing satisfactorily in present position Consistently makes safety and security of self and others the priority Must be performing satisfactorily in present position Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (preferred Qualifications)
BA/BS or advanced degree in a process or project management discipline such as Business Administration or Industrial Engineering Knowledge of revenue management theory or airline systems/data (PNR, Order, Booking and/or Ticketing) Experience in at least one commercial or operations function such as Reservations, Airport Customer Service, eCommerce, Revenue Management, Sales or IT preferred.
