Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned)
Seeking a Regulatory Compliance Manager with experience in NERC O&P/CIP and Pipeline Cyber Security (TSA) regulations.
Job Responsibilities
As a member of the Company’s Regulatory Compliance team for a large independent power producer, this candidate will work with various internal and external parties to ensure compliance with the rules set forth by the various regulatory organizations. Candidate will be responsible for the effective implementation of the organization's compliance reporting activities. Selected candidate will be responsible for assembling various reports and evidence to convey to external regulators. Candidate should be comfortable with monitoring, investigating, and reviewing compliance evidence in support of Calpine’s Compliance activities.
The Candidate is also responsible for facilitating training and ensuring the effective remediation of potential non-compliant situations. Job Responsibilities: Provide monthly reporting on the status of internal controls to Compliance Leadership. The ideal candidate will develop business requirements, perform gap analysis, and identify strategies for controls and risk mitigation for NERC O&P, NERC CIP, and TSA Pipeline requirements. Candidate must be able to work closely with internal and external Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop and integrate appropriate regulatory controls within systems and/or processes.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience
Required Skills/Experience: 8-10 years of experience in the electric utility industry.
Familiarity with TSA Pipeline Cyber Security Guidelines.
Must have a strong knowledge of internal control, compliance, and procedure development.
Experience with NERC O&P and CIP standard experience providing compliance monitoring, RSAW development, mock audits, gap analysis and process improvement.
Experience serving as a key advisor on technical matters, developing recommendations on policy options and program standards.
ARCHER GRC (or equivalent) experience preferred.
Possess critical thinking skills and problem solving skills. Will hire at a level commensurate with experience.
Additional Benefit - Hybrid with On-Site in Houston, TX: Three times a week with Manager approval
