A law firm seeks an experienced Civil Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing team in Phoenix, AZ. The successful candidate will have at least 4 years of experience defending civil litigation cases and a proven track record of managing case files independently. Independently handle a caseload of litigation matters, including case preparation, discovery, motions, and trial. Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda and briefs. Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and trials. Communicate regularly with clients to provide case updates and strategy recommendations. Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and contribute to team success. Assist with business development and client marketing efforts. Travel as required for client meetings, depositions, and court appearances. Requirements Active license to practice law in Arizona. At least 4 years of experience in civil litigation defense, preferably in Arizona. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Proficient in legal research and writing, with a focus on litigation matters. A high level of independence in managing case files and work responsibilities. Willingness and ability to travel as needed for litigation matters. Trial experience is preferred but not required. Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Skills Excellent legal research and writing abilities. Strong client communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to independently manage a caseload and prioritize tasks. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency with current legal technology and software. Interest in client development and marketing strategies.
