A nationally recognized civil litigation law firm is currently seeking a
Litigation Associate Attorney
with a minimum of four years of experience to join its growing legal team. Known for its strength in product liability defense and general civil litigation, the firm offers a dynamic work environment where associates gain hands-on experience through depositions, hearings, motion practice, and trials. This role is ideal for a motivated litigator looking to take ownership of their caseload and contribute meaningfully to high-stakes matters. Location:
Duties:
Independently manage a litigation caseload from initiation through resolution Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs Conduct legal research and contribute to case strategy development Participate in depositions, hearings, and court appearances Collaborate closely with partners and fellow associates on complex legal matters Lead client communications and provide timely, strategic updates Contribute to trial preparation and participate in trials as needed Requirements:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil litigation Experience with product liability or insurance defense is preferred but not required Ability to handle multiple matters with minimal supervision Proven ability to take initiative in both litigation and client relationship management Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Certifications:
Active bar license in New Mexico (for Albuquerque or Santa Fe roles) Good standing with respective state bar Skills:
Exceptional legal writing and oral advocacy skills Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities Effective communicator with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel Team-oriented approach with strong interpersonal skills Benefits:
