The City of Stockton is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Supervising Human Resources Analyst in the Human Resources Department, Benefits Division . This is an At-Will (Unclassified/Unrepresented) position responsible for supervising staff and overseeing a broad range of employee benefits programs and administrative functions. Key areas of responsibilities include leave administration, health benefits, retirement benefits (CalPERS, Deferred compensation), RFP developments, contract management, and others. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of public sector benefits administration.
The incumbent will work a City of Stockton 9/80schedule: 7:30 amto 5:30 pmMondays through Thursdays; 8:00 amto 5:00 Fridays, with alternating Fridays off. May be required to work additional hours and/or weekends to provide critical support to key initiatives.
This is a supervisory class responsible for planning, scheduling, directing, coordinating and reviewing a designated division of the Human Resources Department. This class is distinguished from the Assistant and Deputy Director of Human Resources in that the latter have full management responsibility for directing, controlling, and ensuring compliance with multiple human resource programs and functions.

: Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, public administration, industrial relations, or a related field. Experience: Four years of increasingly responsible professional human resource experience in a generalist capacity which has included responsibilities in more than one of the areas outlined above, including two years of lead responsibility.
