The Role We are looking for a talented Business Development Manager to focus on strategic market development for Wormhole. Reporting to the Head of Growth at the Wormhole Foundation, you will own the full-deal cycle and will be actively involved in the optimization and execution of inbound/outbound lead strategies. Your work will be instrumental in identifying potential opportunities across the industry, and in building and maintaining strong relationships with projects looking to use Wormhole.

What You Will Do

Managing, evaluating, and triaging relationships with inbound leads as the first point-of-contact

Optimizing processes and strategy for lead focus, management, and generation

Conducting strategic outbound activities, initiating touch points with important prospects

Sourcing, identifying and proactively pursuing promising opportunities

Cultivating and developing expertise on Wormhole products

Working cross-functionally regularly to advance Wormhole's leadership in blockchain interoperability.

Supporting and driving on complex deal contracts and negotiations

Who You Are

You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in business development or similar GTM role with demonstrable track record

At least 2 years of experience in the web3 industry, preferably at an early-stage startup

You are an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, familiar with web3 communication styles (e.g., using TG, crypto vernacular)

You can assess, identify, and speak to potential partner's pain points and value drivers effectively

You are action-oriented and team-oriented

You are crypto-native, with a solid understanding of crypto concepts, culture, and industry segments

You have superb time management skills and aim to optimize time for yourself and your team

You are a strong networker, capable of building and maintaining industry relationships

You are autonomous, proactive, and strategic in pursuing opportunities

You have strong existing relationships in the industry

You possess knowledge of various blockchain sectors (e.g., DeFi, infrastructure)

You have experience managing complex projects across stakeholders

Ideally based in the Eastern Time Americas or European time zones
