What We're Looking For Are you looking for a new, exciting opportunity? Join our Des Moines, IA office and be an integral part of growing our practice in Iowa and across the Midwest. We are seeking a highly creative and motivated engineering project manager with local municipal experience using SUDAS criteria to lead components of the design and construction of roadways at the DSM Airport Terminal and other municipal projects. The primary focus will be projects with the DSM Airport Authority and local municipal clients, with opportunities to support projects with the Iowa DOT and other transportation projects through our Central States Office and firmwide transportation practice. Responsibilities
Manage project lifecycle, including scope, proposal development, contract negotiations, and project delivery, ensuring quality, timeliness, budget adherence, and client satisfaction.
Lead technical tasks such as analysis, reports, design, and specifications, coordinating with internal and external teams to resolve design issues.
Supervise and mentor project team members, manage staffing, and support business development efforts.
Develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals; serve as primary client liaison; oversee project execution and client communication.
Lead proposal development, presentations, and industry outreach efforts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience.
At least 2 years of task management or Deputy PM experience.
Preferred Qualifications
8+ years relevant experience.
PE certification.
Local municipal/SUDAS experience, airport design, construction administration, AutoCAD, Civil3D, Microstation/ORD experience.
