Fulfillment Manager
to lead and optimize our fine jewelry fulfillment operations. This role will oversee staffing, inventory management, and logistics to ensure an efficient, accurate, and elevated order fulfillment experience. The Fulfillment Manager will play a critical role in enhancing our direct-to-consumer and wholesale fulfillment, surprise-and-delight initiatives, and VIP/influencer gifting strategy. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in fulfillment operations, understands how to build and lead a best-in-class team, and is passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role requires a balance of operational expertise, attention to detail, and a creative approach to packaging and special-order fulfillment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the fulfillment team, including hiring, training, and managing staff to maintain a high-performance culture and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Oversee all order fulfillment processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and on-time shipping for both direct-to-consumer and wholesale orders. Manage inventory operations, including receiving, organizing, and reconciling stock, implementing best practices for inventory accuracy, and minimizing shrinkage. Partner with Marketing to design and execute elevated packaging, special orders, and surprise-and-delight moments for loyal customers and VIPs. Oversee fulfillment and logistics for wholesale orders, ensuring compliance with retailer requirements and optimizing operations for growth. Own relationships with shipping providers to negotiate competitive rates, improve delivery timelines, and troubleshoot any shipping issues. Develop and implement quality control measures in packaging and fulfillment to uphold the brand’s luxury standards. Track key fulfillment and logistics metrics, providing regular reports and recommendations for process improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Customer Experience, and Merchandising, to align fulfillment with business needs and customer expectations. Manage fulfillment and logistics budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising on quality or efficiency. Oversee special-order fulfillment for influencer gifting, press send-outs, and exclusive marketing initiatives. QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years of experience in fulfillment, logistics, or e-commerce operations, ideally in fine jewelry, luxury, or high-touch consumer goods. Proven experience managing fulfillment teams, optimizing order processing workflows, and implementing best practices for inventory management. Strong understanding of inventory control methods, including regular cycle counts and reconciliations, to maintain high stock accuracy. Experience working with inventory management systems (e.g., Cin7), shipping platforms (e.g., ShipStation), and e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify). Hands-on leadership style with the ability to manage a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. High attention to detail and commitment to quality control, ensuring each order meets brand standards. Ability to manage logistics budgets, negotiate shipping contracts, and improve cost efficiencies while maintaining a premium customer experience. Passion for creating a memorable customer journey, with experience in packaging, gift wrapping, and high-touch fulfillment strategies. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to changing business needs and seasonal fluctuations in order volume.
