Role summary:

The Investment Strategist will collaborate with the Investment Group to shape and influence the use of derivatives in CG's investment portfolios. The role involves working directly with Portfolio Managers to assess risk and determine optimal management strategies. Key responsibilities include analyzing derivative usage across various currencies and products, and developing new analyses to support market themes. The Investment Strategist will serve as a subject matter expert and proactive educator on derivatives internally, and will liaise regularly with functions such as Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Risk for special projects. What we are looking for: Experience working directly with Portfolio Managers on risk assessment and derivative strategies across currencies and products. Ability to utilize derivatives for setting up equitization and hedging overlays to enhance investment efficiency and market views. Expertise in derivatives, with a focus on educating internal teams through materials and workshops. Ability to stay updated on external derivative trends and conduct rigorous market analyses. Experience proposing new derivative products based on market research. Strong collaboration skills to work with various internal teams and external stakeholders. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with diverse audiences. Initiative in identifying issues and recommending solutions. Sound judgment in resolving complex matters. Knowledge of current and future policies, practices, and trends affecting derivatives. Qualifications: 5-10 years of experience in the equity derivative market. Previous experience in Equity Derivative Sales, Trading, or Risk is preferred. Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and analytical skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Skill in identifying, assessing, and managing risks. Effective communication skills with various stakeholders. Proactive problem-solving abilities. Good judgment in complex situations. Knowledge of relevant policies, practices, and trends in derivatives. Compensation includes a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, Capital's profitability bonus, and a retirement plan with 15% company contribution.
