What You'll Do Lead in a professional manner toward achieving company performance goals with emphasis on safety, quality and all company standards
Direct all activities of the Area including accounting, shipping, receiving, operations, safety and environmental
Champion and ensure adherence to CMC's Guiding Principles, Code of Conduct, Culture, and policies and procedures
Must be able to establish operational goals, both financial and non-financial, with clear work plans, and hold management staff accountable
Responsible for the planning of budgets, company assets, labor forecasts and capital expenditures for short-term and long-range production
Collaborate with different departments to ensure successful accomplishments of company goals
What You'll Need Understands and executes CMC accounting policies, RONA, Working Capital, Operating Profit, and Business strategies.
Past successful experience in operations, marketing, sales in a metal recycling facility or other related industry a strong plus
Extensive knowledge of all areas of operations
Preferred familiarity with material handling equipment and how to properly maintain (maintenance programs) and repair equipment
Knowledge of transportation and logistics is critical
Must be able to maintain and be familiar with safety and environmental concerns
Demonstrated ability to manufacture quality products that consistently meet or exceed consumer receiving specifications
Broad knowledge of marketing /sales practices
Ability to forecast short and long-term buying of material to meet on-time delivery schedules to our consumers
Must collaborate and develop strong relationships with people to ensure successful accomplishments of plant and regional goals
Ability to make sure all employees are trained and well prepared to carry out their daily tasks to ensure everyone's safety
Able to clearly communicate expectations, issues and feedback
Must be able to problem solve in all areas of plant
Proficiency with computer operating systems, to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate up, down, and across the business
Your Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Management, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field preferred
