Satellite communication manufacturer of RF (Radio Frequency) and microwave electronics for the commercial, space and military industries seeks a Project Manager tooversee and execute on various Airborne engineering development projects. Daily oversight of project execution is the primary responsibility of the project manager, including oversight of hardware and software design, engineering material procurement, first article builds, design verification, qualification testing, transition design to manufacturing, managing schedules, leading regular meetings, and reporting project status to management. The project manager will work closely with the engineering team, manufacturing, quality, supply chain and management to manage the design process, schedules, budget, and resources.
DAY IN THE LIFE
Oversee product development from concept through transfer to production Managing product design, costs, scope, schedule, quality issues, reporting and documentation. Provides team leadership on projects; ability to develop, lead, motivate Assist in solving problems involving highly complex digital, analog, and RF electronic components Maintains effective communication and working relationships with design team Prepares and presents oral and/or written technical reports and project presentations Organizes and conducts project team meetings
WHAT YOU BRING
College Graduate: BS or MS preferred Must have 5-10 years of experience Prior manufacturing experience Strong RF, analog and digital engineering background is preferred Organizational skills, attention to details, multitasking Familiarity with AS9100 aerospace quality management system Experience with DO-160 Airborne qualification requirements Strong computer knowledge; Microsoft Office tools, including MS Project Experience leading cross-functional teams
