Austin Bridge & Road
is seeking an experienced
Project Manager
to lead projects in Austin, Texas. This role is essential to ensuring the successful execution of projects by managing schedules, tracking quantities, controlling costs, implementing engineering designs, overseeing document control, forecasting job costs, managing subcontractors, and coordinating procurement. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget, while contributing to the continued success and reputation of Austin Bridge & Road.

Functional Areas of Responsibility
Administration Construction Bid Review Training Assist in Subcontract negotiations and project buyout Scheduling and coordination of the project Project cost accounting Owner billings Change orders Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers Compliance with company policies & procedures Development of subordinates Participate as a Multi-rater in annual reviews of subordinates
Responsibilities
Oversee the document control system, including RFIs, submittals, correspondence, and meeting notes specific to Waterworks projects. Review submittals to ensure proper coordination and compliance with plans and specifications tailored to Waterworks requirements. Collaborate with the superintendent to assist with project startup activities for Waterworks systems. Manage project closeout tasks, including preparing documentation, completion reports, and final payment collection for Waterworks projects. Prepare and submit accurate and timely monthly pay requests for owners and architects involved in Waterworks initiatives. Evaluate and price proposed scope changes, including self-performed work and subcontractor pricing, while assessing schedule impacts specific to Waterworks projects. Establish and maintain accurate job cost reporting in alignment with company policy for Waterworks projects. Contribute to the development of Work Plans and support the superintendent in their execution for Waterworks systems. Maintain thorough documentation of inspections, quality reviews, and follow-up actions for non-compliant work related to Waterworks infrastructure. Ensure a safe work environment through regular inspections and enforce compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and project-specific safety standards for projects.
Qualifications
A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred but may be substituted with equivalent experience specific to heavy civil projects. A minimum of 8-10 years of experience managing Heavy Civil or similar infrastructure projects is strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across all levels of management in Heavy Civil operations. Exceptional time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and achieve desired outcomes in Heavy Civil project delivery. Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while consistently meeting deadlines on Heavy Civil initiatives.
Requirements
Over 8-10 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on heavy civil, and infrastructure projects. Demonstrated project management expertise in the construction industry, specifically within heavy civil sectors. Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
