The Division of Enrollment Management - Technology Operations Unit Responsibilities

The Division of Enrollment Management is comprised of four distinct units: Office of Admissions, Office of the University Registrar, Office of Financial Aid ,and Technology Operations. Enrollment Managements integrated services provide distinctive support throughout the students development and progression in their academic experience from recruitment through commencement. Through collaboration, communication, and commitment, all units within Enrollment Management achieve the highest level of student-centered service to current and prospective students and families as well as to campus partners across the University. The Technology Operations Unit within Enrollment Management provides technology support, technology-based solutions, systems configuration, identity and data management, and analysis across the division. The unit works closely with subject matter experts in Admissions, Registrar, and Financial Aid to meet the operational and reporting needs of various stockholders across campus. Provides system and network level security support for the Division of Enrollment Management to audit, test, and confirm technical compliance with the University information technology security policies, programs and industry best practices. Responsible for computer security infrastructure development with special focus in designing, producing, and deploying tools/scripts/programs for monitoring and actively enhancing the security status of the computing resources across the Division of Enrollment Management. Responsible for developing and scheduling routine risk and vulnerability assessments, including but not limited to network and subnet scanning. Coordinates with Information Security Privacy Office and CTS for comprehensive testing. Works in collaboration with senior leadership to write office policies and procedures as it pertains to security and security controls. Also collaborates with Information Security Privacy Office and ITS in keeping with industry standards. Stays up to date with changing industry standards and changing technical needs of the department. Assists senior leadership with investigating IT security incidents and conducting computer forensics. Reports incidents to ISPO for assessment. Responsible for educating staff on emerging security trends. Researches and informs managers of newly released vulnerabilities and administers Enrollment Management's annual security training. Ensures NIST standards are met. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other appropriate degree and two years' experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: or a combination of appropriate post high school education and experience equal to six years.) Preferred Qualifications

A Master's degree and four years of experience in enrollment services. Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced work environment. Experience implementing and/or supporting a new initiative (policy, technology, procedure, etc.). Experience with admissions operations and application processing. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills desired. Experience and comfort working with a variety of computer software applications, databases, and student information systems (PeopleSoft). Experience in information technology security measures, standards and best practices. Experience with high level technical support and conveying technical information to non-technical users. Experience multitasking, time management, problem solving and working as part of a team as well as independently. Experience organizing and deploying security updates and patches across a large organization. Experience developing policies procedures and other documentation. University Information

The anticipated starting salary for this position is around $47,660.00 annually, commensurate with education and experience. FSU Total Rewards
